The Thought Criminals was formed in South London, UK in 2004 when programmer/musician Kirlian Blue and vocalist/frontman Rocky Goode, set out to form a band that would blend early 80's dark electronic music with the more modern alternative dance music of today. The duo worked feverishly on their concept and then enlisted the help of famed dance producer Tony Messenger and mixer Robb Henry to tie things together. Their debut single "(I'm Gonna be a) Celebrity" was released in the fall of 2006 and provided the first glimpse of the bands' abilities and showcased their potential of what lied ahead. The follow-up single "My Baby's a Suicide Bomber", continued to build momentum and set the stage for the bands Tongue and Cheek /Sci-fi/80's stoke Electro Punk themed debut, Die Young: Stay Pretty.

Building off the momentum of Die Young: Stay Pretty, the duo quickly went back into the studio to work on new material. The result of their effort was a handful of new tracks and a solid foundation for a the upcoming album, You're a Moral Liability. The first single "All the Freaks" was released digitally in August of 2009 and quickly gained club play across the globe. The Deep City vs. Drifta Mix appeared on the September 2009 Alternative Club Series of Promoonly alongside heavy weight like Jarvis Cocker, Moby and Depeche Mode. The second single "Dirty Electro" was released digitally in October 2009 on the WTII label compilation, Resurrection 3 and a video was soon to follow.

2010 looks to be a busy year for The Thought Criminals with a new EP for Dirty Electro and a new album You're a Moral Liability scheduled for release in the fall.

Over the years, the Thought Criminals have built a cult following by headlining well known venues across the UK, which include: The Mass, The Underworld, The Dublin Castle and The 333 Club. Their influences range from acts such as: Prodigy, Gary Numan, John Foxx, The Sex Pistols and Soft Cell.

Rocky and Kirlian hail from the streets of South London, the same area which brought the world David Bowie, Billy Idol, Japan and countless other musical legends. After the release of Die Young Stay Pretty, it will be evident that the Thought Criminals will have carried on the traditions of their local predecessors.
